So, What's Happening This Week End in The Valley?

Madison is brimming with events and activities to keep you entertained. Let us help you find the perfect activities for a getaway weekend full of fun and memories in Madison!

Old Madison is a fun place for families to visit. We have "great" old homes and buildings to see, antique shops, and great food. You can sleep in one of our B&B's, our RV park, Clifty State Park or maybe River Boat Inn. For the lovers take a romantic walk on our lighted riverfront. You can even hear the steam whistle blowing in the hollows! Are you listening?.

The valley makes all of Madison visible, laid out before you like a town in miniature. But it also makes Madison invisible, as you have no idea that Madison is there, waiting for you, until you turn the bend and head down the steep hill. Because Madison is in a valley, it doesn't march towards you at a distance on the horizon. It appears magically out of nowhere.
You never know what you will discover... Free Wi-Fi all over town.

Happiness is the trail path at Clifty Park

Clifty Falls State Park is located near Madison with entrances on state roads 56 and 62. The park's waterfalls change moods with the weather and the seasons and can range from roaring plunges to delicate bridal-veil mists to gleaming frozen titans. Winter and spring visits reveal them at their best. The rugged splendor of Clifty Canyon offers exciting year-round hiking and scenery.

Relax at The Broadway Fountain

Broadway Fountain The People's Choice...
Presented to Madison in 1886 by the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, the Broadway Fountain was twice saved from an ignominious end by the people of the Valley City. They raised money to repair the cast iron fountain in 1949 when a mayor called it decrepit beyond repair and planned to junk it to be replaced by a small replica of the Statue of Liberty.

Farmers Market Saturaday mornings here until noon, in season, also the best pure honey in the Valley.

WINE - We have wine...

The wineries of the region continue a history and tradition that began two hundred years ago when Swiss immigrants planted vineyards near Madison. We hope you enjoy your journey through the heart of the Ohio River Valley, the largest designated wine region in America.
